On June 7, a conference entitled “Forced execution of banking and financial contracts and consumer protection after the ruling Cass. SS.UU. n. 9479/2023: between law and process” was held at Banca di Piacenza.
The event, organized by the Piacenza Bar Association in collaboration with the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and with the patronage of Banca di Piacenza, saw the participation of authoritative speakers from the academic and legal world.
Among the various experts, our Co-Managing partner Paolo Flavio Mondini has explored the issue of the taxonomy of the types of nullity of protection in banking and financial contracts with consumers. The intervention has highlighted how in a complex and constantly evolving panorama, intertwined with a multiplicity of legal rules and principles, the understanding of such nullity can prove to be a precious resource to combat abusive contractual practices by banking and financial institutions.
The conference was attended by numerous lawyers, jurists and law students, creating a lively debate on the future implications of the ruling of the Court of Cassation. The collaboration with the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore allowed to integrate academic and professional approaches, further enriching the debate.
