Prof. Paolo Flavio Mondini, drawing also on his academic background, advises Italian and foreign companies on corporate, banking and financial law matters, both in court and out of court. He has developed specific expertise in corporate litigation, acting in particular in liability actions against directors and statutory auditors, challenges to shareholders' and board resolutions, disputes among shareholders — including those relating to shareholders' agreements and share transfers — interim relief proceedings and petitions under Article 2409 of the Italian Civil Code, as well as in banking and financial disputes, litigation arising from extraordinary transactions — including representations and warranties claims in M&A deals — and liability and clawback actions in insolvency proceedings. He acts in arbitration proceedings both as counsel and as arbitrator.
He obtained his PhD in Commercial Law in 2005 with a doctoral thesis awarded as the best national thesis in commercial and banking law by the Gian Franco Campobasso Association.
He graduated in 2000 from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart with a grade of 110/110 cum laude.
He has been licensed to practice law since 2003.
He is the author of numerous publications in national and European journals and of two monographs on corporate and financial law (Le azioni correlate, Milan, 2009; I conflicti di interesse degli intermediari bancari nella consegna di servizi di risparmio, Milan, 2008).
He is a member of the Editorial Board of scientific journals (Banca, Borsa, Titoli di Credito, Rivista delle Società, Rivista del Diritto aziendale, Giurisprudenza arbitrale).
He is a speaker at conferences on corporate, banking, and financial law.
He is the founder and scientific coordinator of the Business Law project ( www.giurisprudenzadelleimprese.it ).
He is a member of scientific associations (AEDBF, ADDE, Disiano Preite Association, Gianfranco Campobasso Association, Orizzonti di Diritto Commerciale).
He is among the youngest Italian lawyers to be ranked in Legal500 as a Leading Individual in the Dispute Resolution sector.
