He was admitted to the bar in 2000 and in 2014 he was admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Cassation.
Having worked as a lawyer specializing in food law since the early days of the sector, Attorney Giorgio Rusconi has gained significant experience in the field of food law, assisting Italian and foreign clients in matters of food hygiene, labelling, additives, organic farming, geographical indications/destinations of origin, packaging and liability on food products and within the sector.
Attorney Rusconi manages contracts with clients, including those with stakeholders of the food supply chain, ensuring regulatory compliance and providing advice on Italian and European law issues.
In court, Attorney Rusconi deals with all areas of defence of civil litigation, with particular regard to product liability and the obligations of food sector operators. He helps clients protect their interests in disputes before the authorities and represents entrepreneurs and managers of activities related to the food sector before the criminal court.
Aware of the needs of multinational companies, Attorney Rusconi has close relationships with experts from different countries and provides assistance and advice on the outlet markets. Thanks to the relationships built over the years with these and other foreign colleagues, Attorney Rusconi helped found FLN – Food Lawyers' Network Worldwide, in collaboration with Krell Weyland Grube, which offers integrated legal services to multinationals in about 50 countries that operate in the food sector.
To ensure that companies operating in the food sector have a wider range of services, Attorney Rusconi also collaborates with a specialized laboratory capable of providing timely and personalized counter-analysis, as well as with a company specialized in the field of food auditing.
Attorney Rusconi has been a speaker at numerous conferences, seminars and webinars on food law. In 2013 he was invited as a Visiting Expert at Harvard Law School as part of the course “Food, Drugs Cosmetics & Medical Device Law”.
In 2021, he was appointed by the Università degli Studi di Parma to teach International Food Law & Policies.
