Omar Cesana deals with food law and provides assistance to Italian and foreign clients on issues related to this area (including food safety, labelling; health & nutrition claims, food and beverage advertising, and all the others regulatory aspects). In addition, he provides legal assistance on the main issues related to intellectual property, advertising law and new technologies, including aspects related to e-commerce, personal data processing and big data management.
He graduated from University Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in 2008. In 2014 he took a post-graduate course in IP law.
He has been member of the Italian Bar Association since 2011.
He is one of the main authors of the Manuale di Diritto Alimentare of the Itinera Guide Giuridiche series published by IPSOA – Wolters Kluwer Group.
He is the author of many publications about IP and food law.
He is a member of FLN – Food Lawyers Network Worldwide
Since 2016, he is ranked on The Legal 500’s list in the Food category. In addition, in 2021 he received the “rising star” award for the second year in a row.
