Omar Cesana

Attorney Omar Cesana deals with food law and provides assistance to Italian and foreign Clients in relation to issues related to: food safety and hygiene, labelling, health & nutrition claims, advertising of food and beverages, regulatory aspects, novel food and Research and Development projects, organic farming, geographical indications and designations of origin, packaging, materials and objects in contact with food, product liability and the food industry. He also provides assistance on the main issues related to intellectual property, advertising law and new technologies, including aspects related to e-commerce , processing of personal data and management of big data .

He graduated in July 2008 from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuoredi Milano.

He has been admitted to the bar since 2011.

In 2014 he obtained a Master's degree in Intellectual Property Law.

He is the author of several publications on IP and food law and edited the volume “ Il Diritto Alimentare” published by Wolters Kluwer. He deals with training both in the academic field and at corporate level.

He is a member of FLN – Food Lawyers Network Worldwide, a leading international network, which brings together lawyers specialized in food law in over 40 countries ( www.food-lawyers.net ).

Since 2016, he has been mentioned in the LEGAL 500 EMEA ranking in the Industry focus: food category, within which he has been recognized as a “rising star” since 2021.
