Attorney Laura Carrara specializes in food law, operating in both judicial and extrajudicial settings.
She graduated in 2018 from Università Luiss Guido Carli with a thesis in agri-food law on food supplements and new communication strategies.
In 2019, he completed a Higher Education Course in Food Legislation at the Università del Piemonte Orientale. Subsequently, in 2020, he obtained a second level Interuniversity Master's Degree in Food Law, at the Università di Roma Tre, Tuscia e Campus Bio Medico, with a thesis on the functioning of the rapid alert system «RASFF», becoming in the same year academic tutor of the same Master's programme.
In November 2020, she began her PhD at the School for the Agri-food System AGRISYSTEM of the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, obtaining the title of Doctor of Research in May 2024. At the same time, since December 2020 she has been a lecturer in Food Law at the Università degli Studi della Tuscia and, since 2022, also at the Università degli Studi di Parma.
In June 2024 she took on the role of research fellow at the University of Ferrara within the project “Building a comprehensive regulatory framework for plants with healing properties and botanicals, used as food, to boost public health (BEETROOT)” PRIN 2022.
She is a member of AIDA (Italian Association of Food Law), as well as the author of several publications in the field of food and wine law and has been recognized, since 2023, as a “rising star” in the Industry focus: food category of the LEGAL 500 EMEA ranking.
She was admitted to the bar in 2022, she speaks fluent English.
