We are pleased to announce the next Annual Conference of the European Society for Banking and Financial Law (AEDBF / ESBFL Europe) and the European Association for Banking and Financial Law (AEDBF Italia), which will be held on 18 October 2024 in Milan at the Bank of Italy Branch in Via Moneta 2. Mondini Bonora Ginevra, as a sponsor, is pleased to support this important event that will bring together leading international experts in the field.
This year’s theme is of particular relevance: ‘The banking and financial system facing “extreme” risks. Ten years after the entry into force of the SSM’.
The conference aims to analyse the evolution of the European banking system. In particular, an attempt will be made to answer the following research questions:
- To what extent have the mechanisms set up by the banking union achieved their objectives?
- What were the main regulatory implications of the new banking supervisory architecture?
- How have the actors involved, such as credit institutions, supervisory authorities and national jurisdictions adapted to this new environment?
It will be a unique opportunity to hear speeches by key figures in the industry, with discussion sessions ranging from the past to the present and future of banking and finance.
